All of us at Amber Lyn are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend, colleague and cheerleader, Karla Winrow.
Karla loved Amber Lyn products and was an extraordinary evangelist for our sugar free chocolate products. She demonstrated and sold Amber Lyn in various venues in California, Utah, Colorado and Arizona. She traveled all over the country training and teaching others how to tell the Amber Lyn story- something no one else could do quite as well as she did it.
Wherever she went her engaging smile, product knowledge and enthusiasm attracted customers like kids to a candy store. (When it comes to chocolate, perhaps we’re all a lot like kids in a candy store.) She was the yardstick by which all other demonstrator/salespersons were measured and she trained a lot of them herself. She was simply the best.
Karla’s battle with cancer finally ended on January 10, 2012. She fought valiantly and rarely (if ever) complained even after multiple surgeries and unrelenting pain. Her positive attitude no doubt kept her going after most of us would have surrendered and willingly given up the fight. She was always eager to share a hug, impart a kind word and even share a song accompanied by here guitar.
Karla will be sorely missed by us, her family and the thousands of chocolate lovers she introduced to really good sugar free chocolate. If there’s chocolate in heaven, Karla will be handing it out to every soul she meets.
Karla, farewell. We know you’re now free from the mortal bonds that held you captive. Thank you for sharing you life with us.
